Audition room - Pianoman53
on: May 03, 2012, 09:51:48 PM
I thought about creating my own Audition room, because it will be a hell of a lot easier to keep the track of old, and new, recordings.... Aaaand, so my mum can find it **Hi mum!!**

So this is one of those pieces, that I probably started playing too soon.

Anyway, in September I begun studying with a new teacher, and after a while I convinced him to let me play this old piece, and now I've played it for, say, a bit more than a month. I wont tell what piece it is, cause I want you to listen before judging :D

This was the first 'real' performance (in front of the teacher, students and some random people), and, as it should be, complete with one slip, a half memory slip, and some stuff in between.

Enjoy!

Thought it was pretty good hey. What a piece, incredibly difficult technically and musically.

What are a few technical slips in a piece of that level of difficulty and that goes for like 11 minutes or whatever time you came in at?

I would be pretty happy with that effort :)

Judging from the outcome, you did the right thing starting to play the piece "too soon". Excellent performance, really. I bet your audience rewarded you with a long, enthusiastic applause. At least, I feel like doing so! Bravo.....

Thank you for the kind comments :) I really didn't expect that :)

Luke: I want to agree with you, but competition juries and "people who knows a lot", sadly, wont... But thank you for your comment :)

Zzivauri: Thank you very much! You can call me hot stuff whenever you want :D

Costicina : Actually, they didn't :P But I played more pieces than this (Note to self: Don't ever follow the mephisto waltz with Chopin op 10/1 - aint no happy ending about that), but they told me they liked it, so I was happy :)
