Chopin study for right hand
on: May 06, 2012, 03:34:26 PM
What's a good one for developing right hand stamina/dexterity?
Or you could list any other piece. Thanks.

Most of them, but in different ways.
Have you learnt any chopin studies yet? something like 10/5 or 25/2 may suit you to begin with - 10/1 or 10/2 if you've got a large appetite and are prepared to work very hard for an extended period - Not advisable for first chopin etude.

Bro, try master your revolutionary first at least a slower version. I know is is tempting and frustration sometimes, but a reasonable output is required for any art work. Do you agree??
Yes op10-1, op10-10, op25-6 or even Hannon.
Cheers

I have improved the Revolutionary Etude by a good amount, thanks to perfect_pitch for smacking some sense into me. I've just been too lazy to record myself.
I've also learned half of Op. 25-12 (Ocean), but I'm having trouble with the descending arpeggios hitting the black keys, since I am severely double jointed in the right hand (Op. 10-12 fixed the left hand), specifically the pinky.
Would Op. 25-11 (Winter Wind) be useful as a mirrored Revolutionary?
