Why not include a forum in addition to repertoire, performance, etc. thats devoted to improvisation? There seems to be enough talk about it on this forum that it deserves its own area.  :)

I think the idea has considerable merit. It would help too if somewhere were available to post segments of improvisation, even short ones, for discussion or help. I was waiting for the flurry of answers to Derek's post, but as nothing has happened maybe there is not sufficient interest.

This is very funny: I kept meaning to write in saying I second the idea. However, I know very littel about improvisation. Then thought, well, lots of other people will respond. As they didnt, I started wondering if it is not of sufficient interest after all... Nice example of a highly non-linear system, this.
Curious what will happen next.  :)

i like it, but how big is the interest in improv?
