Questions on Hindemith's Piano Sonata No 3
on: May 23, 2012, 05:03:36 PM
I'm going to put this sonata as part of my programme for my FTCL (UK) exam.

Just quick questions on interpretation (tempos).  Hope this link works:-

Is it better to increase the speed in the following sections in 1st Mov & 2nd Mov:-
pg 2 start from the 2nd lines of bars from bottom, marked 9/8
pg 8 start from the 2nd lines of bars from top, marked pp

Or should I just keep unchanged?

Any other tips on this piece?

The 4th Mov is likely the killer.  Wish I have the hands of Glenn Gould.

Thanks.
