How Long To Download PDF File?
on: May 26, 2012, 04:54:09 PM
Hi Everyone

I'm a brand new member and having difficulty downloading Chopin's Nocturne Opus 9 no 2.
I've clicked on the PDF download link but nothing happens. The screen goes blank and there's no 'moving circle' on the tab to show that activity is taking place.

How long does it generally take to download a piece of music from the site?

(I have Adobe installed and don't have any difficulty on other sites).

Thanks

I am also having the same problem, usually it should take a few seconds for a download given the download size.  :(

Are you using internet explorer? If so, there's your problem  :P

Did you try right-clicking and pressing 'save link as' or whatever? Sometimes that works.

I never got the chance to 'Save Link As'.  I clicked on the link, the screen went blank and has remained so for about an hour now.

Patrick

I notice your not a newbie.  Do I take it that you have downloaded files from here previously without problem, and it is only now you're having difficulty?

Cheers

sorry for being a newbie  ::)

right-click the link that has the little 'adobe' icon to the left of it. that's what I meant.

Blank screen =/= downloading, if that's what you're thinking.

Typo, should have been 'you're' not 'your'.

Hope my old English master's not a member!

Thanks, I've done what you suggested and clicked Save Target As.  This allowed me to save it as an Adobe Document.  I then clicked on 'Open with Adobe' and that's where I'm at now.  There's no tab showing that any activity is taking place.  I know some of my large Excel spreadsheets take a minute or two to fully open but 5 minutes have passed so far....

It's not as if I'm downloading a full orchestral score.

Cheers

Bingo!

I've downloaded Adobe X and this opens the saved document within seconds.

Hopefully this will work for you Patrick as well.

Thanks Blink.
