on: June 03, 2012, 09:42:59 PM
Does anyone have the score for this? And are there any existing recordings?

Thanks

A copy of the piano reduction was donated to the CPS some years ago by an American collector, so I will need his permission if you want it. My understanding is that a recording is impossible as the parts cannot be found.

The difficulties are horrific and perhaps only Hamelin/Katsaris and other superhumans could play it. I fail with both hands.

I am an orchestral conductor and this year I will perform in Florence with a left handed pianist.
we are wondering if you could please help us find the geza zichy concerto.
I am an excellent orchestrator, I can build up a score.
Is it possible to find this composition?
thank you.

As far as i am aware, the orchestral parts have never been located, so it only exists in 2 piano format.
Good luck to whoever can play this. It is obscenely difficult.
