Yamaha Piaggero NP-31 -VS- Korg SP-170S
on: June 04, 2012, 03:57:58 PM
Hi all,

Can you tell me the difference between these two in terms of quality, sound, playing experience etc?

I am an amateur beginner and am not interested in a synth type keyboard so I have looked more at digital pianos as what I want is simply a good natural piano sound and key response. I have found a used ("mint condition") NP-31 for $320 but the price is negotiable so I could get that down to $250 most likely (new is $332). And I have found the SP-170S online for $600 (with 12m warranty). Thing is, from listening to their sound online I cannot really hear much of a difference so I wonder at the difference in price. I have found both of them at other online stores for more (the Korg for $800) but these are the least expensive I have found.

Any advice is appreciated.  :)
