Encore performance
on: June 11, 2012, 01:50:43 PM
Hello,

We had a music party last week, so I played some Beethoven, Chopin, and one Rach prelude.

My friends and audience asked for an encore so I put up a rendition of an old popular song, "Mighty Lak A Rose" (1901). A good friend of mine was kind enough to do a recording so here it is:

What do you think? It's just me having fun playing around with the song. Basically it's a combination of Romantic, Impressionist, and some classic jazz, blues, and swing styles. (sorry if it's not that studio quality, and the voices might distract you. Well, that was one of my best renditions and I'm thankful I'd had it recorded so don't argue lol.)

Thanks for reading!

All the best,
-wild-guy-  :)

That sounded like Art Tatum, and it sounded good! Well done, do you improvise often? Id love to be able to improvise like this.
studying:

Beethoven sonata no. 1 op. 2
Bach Prelude and Fugue in g-major, WTCII
Schumann fantasie stucke op.12 (no. 1,2)
