I'm back?
on: June 12, 2012, 07:23:03 AM
That's what it feels like. I've been gone from the board, gone from this room, and gone from any recorded improvisations for quite awhile. To my knowledge I have only recorded twice since September. I feel even like I'm falling away from the piano. BUT I happened to be in the city and stopped by the school, did minimal practicing, and then forced myself to record something new.

I've followed some of the threads from afar, and may be able to give some input later. A combination of my rust, and interest in Lostinidlewonder's "Microwave" thread has lead to about 14 little pieces between 18 seconds and 2:15 in length. Since there are so many of them, and they are so short, I decided to put them in a zipped folder rather than upload them here. So here is the link: https://www.mediafire.com/?5w7qwkx0h8dvm1x

I attach the two bigger statements on the page, both of which are around 11 minutes long. I post the better one first, and the lesser one second though the are numbered in the opposite order (my opinion of course). The Baldwin sounds GREAT IMHO.

Welcome me home, and I hope you enjoy!

Dave

I liked both of these a lot! I will listen to the short ones later.
The recording quality is also very good. I usually don't expect such good recording from you, so I was pleasantly surprised. Please do continue to use this particular setup. (<- gently nudging you to post another improv soon.)
All truths, not merely ideas, but truthful faces, truthful pictures or songs, are highly beautiful.
