Pieces that the great pianists played well but never recorded?
As you can imagine, Lazar Berman played Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody #6 superbly, but as far as I know he never recorded it.Paul
Boris Berezovsky plays Ravel's Scarbo!!!! Too bad he didn't record it...
Boris Berezovsky plays Ravel's Scarbo!!!!I don't know if he played Ondine or Le Gibet, but there's a bad YouTube recording of him playing Scarbo at I think a concert hall? The guy was like sitting aaaaaaaallll the way on the highest section of the concert hall on the veeeeerrrrrrry last left seat and he recorded it from there! Are you kidding me?! You couldn't get a better seat? Or buy a real camera?! But despite the awful recording device, his Scarbo is so good! Too bad he didn't record it...The quality was so bad, it was probably filmed with a box of crayons... And you couldn't hear the coughing at least! The background noise drowned out all of the ruckus at least!
