For Pokemon lovers out there...
on: June 22, 2012, 02:38:17 PM
I know this isn't quite what I normally do, but I heard a beautiful melody that got stuck in my head for weeks. After finally transcribing it and practicing it... found out it was from bloody Pokemon of all things. Never thought a cartoon with a bunch of little critters beating the snot out of it would have any decent music, but who would have guessed.

The original music can be found here:

My arrangement for Piano solo:

I don't know if any official sheet music exists for ANY pokemon music, so if there is - let me know please. I'm curious to see it.

It's not official, I think, but I found a source: Pokemon Music Arrangements

Scores in .jpg pictures. Unfortunately, not all links there work.

I think there is more. The only thing I entered into Google was "pokemon sheet music" and the first link was bingo right away.

Hi!

It is an attractive piece ... very well played!!  NIce to know that you are one
who does not frown upon playing contemporary pieces ... even from "children's
anime".  THANKS ....

Thanks for the kind words... Had a look at the sheet music that's available in this link especially... I presume there are no arrangements for people older than say 7???

Most of it is barely grade 2 level at best. I'm wondering how I'd go about trying to get permission to arrange these themes...

DAMN... So there's no decent sheet music out there for the music of Pokemon???

This is a market I would love to contribute to... I could rock the anime world with my arrangements...

Does anyone have any ideas on becoming an arranger or transcriptionist??? I really feel this is something I could do professionally.
