check this out..Alan fraser's saying
on: June 26, 2012, 08:42:54 AM
I found this by chance,,,a very intersting to see the world class pianist tense his  fingers to play the piano as pointed out by some peopel as vs "relaxed" state.  :D This just means, THERE is no FIXED set of rules, you tense as you needed to be.

check this out..Alan fraser's critic

One should understand the context in which certain remarks are made. I'm sure the title "Alan Fraser's critic" and the rest of what you suggested about "tense" and "relaxed" are not a good summary of what is going on in that topic. It's not a "critic" Alan Fraser is giving; he is just explaining to people who are no experts why one very famous artist does not play according to Alan's system (certain visible signs or symptoms so to speak). The only question I would raise is: should this be done in public in such a way for anyone to see, even without registration there? I just made a point about such issues in another topic here.

sorry Paul, I changed to a better wording -"saying" instead of critic ;). I think self experimenting is the best way to go, of course some guidlines is required. By the way, I have been told by my teacher saying that ONE system may work for you but MAY not work for others. Because, we all have differnt made ups. ::)

No problem; I changed the subject title of my reply to your first post accordingly. ;)
P.S.: Your teacher is a very wise person.

How a forum owner can think he can spend his time knocking his betters is beyond me.  Maybe it would be OK if he had his own international concert career.

Sorry, never heard of him.

What one hears (or not) is often more a question of how well such people are promoted commercially.

Yes I agree.  The internet is publicist's dream.  Sadly you don't always get what it says on the label.
