Piano buying help
on: June 30, 2012, 06:10:29 PM
Hi,
I am really struggling to buy a piano. the problem is, I don't have enough space at home to place the piano.

So is there any portable piano below Rs40,000($800) that can be be put on stand when needed. I will keep under my bed when I am not using it.

or do you think, should i go for keyboard then as keyboard fits the space available in my room. I also searched on it and I found Yamaha e423 is good keyboard if I want to enjoy piano sound condering the roadblock I have.

Appreciate your response.

You need to move your residence. Life without a piano is boring.  If you're in a school or military or some required residence, develop an association with a church so you can practice on their piano.  Warning: when I was in the US Army, the pianos at the recreational facilities were vile, low budget toys.
In the US, there are hundreds of wonderful 1940-1970 pianos selling for almost nothing because they are old and in the way to people whose skills run to video game controllers.  I don't suppose Germany is that different, although the brands available will be.  Having access to friends and a truck for rapid response to online ads are important in picking up a piano bargain.
