Hello everyone,

I am currently playing Une Barque sur L'Ocean by Ravel, and I find that during the beginning of the piece, I feel a pretty bad strain-like pain in my left hand while I play the arpeggios. I don't find actually playing the arpeggios difficult, it is just the pain that I am having trouble with. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Thanks!

The only thing I can think of is, you're doing something wrong in the way you're playing those arpeggios. You really can't have any tension playing those since if you are tense, you will sound tense. And then there will be no controlling your sound. can you post a video? I'm not sure what you're doing, but definitely you shouldn't feel strain...
