I used to play a piece called l'orage when I was younger and just now came across czerny op 740 no 37. and have come to the conclusion I am absolutely fascinated with that key. If you guy know any pieces that resemble these let me know.

Hey!

I doubt this is what you're looking for but you may want to consider checking out some of Bach's inventions/sinfonias..

Invention No.4 in d is very fun to play and it's not terribly difficult.  Although, there is a section where you have to trill with your left hand (which I even have to cut short).  But, if you're a whiz at LH trills, then there's really nothing about this piece that is too challenging.  And it's only 2 pages!  Gotta love that!

The d minor sinfonia is also very cool.

There might be a Brahms Intermezzo and there's for sure a Rachmaninoff Prlelude that's in d minor.

Might want to check those out if you haven't already.

OMG!!! Prokofiev!!! Toccata in d - that piece is devilish!!  Warning though.. this piece is extremely challenging.
~ if you want to know what I'm working on.. just ask me!

Back to the subject...I think Beethoven's "Tempest" Sonata No.17 is in that key...also the Bach Toccata and Fugue BWV 565.
Bach Prelude and Fugue BWV848
Beethoven Piano Sonata Op.13
Chopin Etude Op.10 No.4
Chopin Scherzo Op.31
Mussorgsky "The Great Gate of Kiev" from Pictures at an Exhibition
