Petrof again please

Petrof is not cheap in Australia. About $40,000 for 5ft6in grand. Any more opinions from the USA, where it has been available much longer.Or Europe for that matter.

You can always go with a Yamaha's or Kawai's.  I think that will be the best bet for you downunder. ;D Cheers.

:o :o :o..... 40,000 is a lot of money for Petrof 5'8. Here in Malaysia/Singapore I believe it is retailing around USD 22,000. If not mistaken, for that money you can already get the Pe II 7'9", one of the 3 master series, produced from Petrof main factory. (that again is before the discount)
regards, mic

Wow... $40,000! In Canada that only costs $30,000-$35,000! Petrof is a very nice brand, though. One of my favourites.

Glad to see that Petrof is being re-introduced into Australia.

But the price... wow!

Your A$40,000 converts to just a hair under US$30k. Here in the US, I would expect a new, black 5'8" Petrof IV to be significantly below US$20k. In late 2003, I could buy a new, black 6'4" Petrof III for a bit over US$18k. Of course, the USD hasn't been doing that well since, so prices seems to have been "jacked up" over here. For $30k, I would want at least a 7'8" Petrof II, if I were to limit myself to a Petrof in the US.
