Should I use the fingering written on the score or the classic chromatic fingering?
Bach Prelude and Fugue BWV848
Beethoven Piano Sonata Op.13
Chopin Etude Op.10 No.4
Chopin Scherzo Op.31
Mussorgsky "The Great Gate of Kiev" from Pictures at an Exhibition

I adopted this fingering: 4312 first 4 measures and 4313 4313 for the other before you begin the sequence. then 4312 1432 4312 1213 and so on

try it. if it works and you like it. there you go. if it doesn't? use your own or a suitable alternative.

Should I really use my thumb to hit the black keys? :-\ :-\ :-\

no It doesn't seem to me that the combination of the fingering I use makes that you have to hit black keys with the thumb... do you have the original version by Rachmaninov? tha one in A minor or you got another one in other key? that's important to know...
