Is there an easy way to download Chopin's complete works- the music sheets and/or recordings? Would be nice to get it all in one zip file or something. I'd like to listen through Chopin from Opus 1-74.

Imslp!  As long as the composer is dead, they have it!

Dead plus 50, or 70, depending, I think. But Chopin should be fine for that!

IMSLP is the better I've ever seen for Classical pieces... Only thing i couldn't get there was Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini, even though other Rach's works are available to download.

I think you could go to en.scorser.com. It's a great sheet music engine, and you can even download works that are still under copyright. I got a Shostakovich prelude, and Shostakovich isn't even on imslp, lol.

Make sure you click "Download free scores: PDF" when you get to the second link. ;D

while i applaud your enthusiasm and willingness to help.

it is 'frowned' upon, at least by many around these parts to post or link, or openly discuss and name websites that facilitate the downloading of copyrighted works.

it is at least my humble opinion and sincere ,and hopefully recieved as polite, request that you woudl share that information privately via PM or email, preferrably email with the inteded individual, i.e. OP

one possible 'grey area' might be fan or amateur transcriptions that are not 'commercial' in nature, i.e distrubted freely or have non commercial copyrights where the artist gives explicit permision to freely distribute or where maybe talanted amateurs figure something out by 'ear' and put notes on the page so to speak, that might fly, still wrestling abit w that one myself.

i edited the quote to give you the chance to 'do the right thing' and edit your posts that name and specify how to download copyrighted works, i won't tell you not to and what to discuss privately but would at least hope you see the reason behind my (and collective 'our' w those that share my sentiments) for not wanting  that info on the public boards.

Thanks! It gave the opportunity to discover many new (to me) works by Chopin. Can't believe I haven't been listening to the op. 40 "military" polonaise, for example. Oh, and now I know how to spell all sorts of new words  :D.

Hopefully it will get a good spot in the Google search engine like my other article did.

if you decide to take it further, you might consider adding transcriptions for piano of chopin works by other composers, there are some really spectacular ones, like mindblowingly beautiful ones.
