I was going to go for this certification.. anybody done it?
How long did it take you?
How involved were the different projects?

I got this certification years ago.  I'm now a permanently certified member.  With time the guidelines have changed.  I had two friends receive their certification last year.  They thought the demands were tough but well worth it.  Good Luck!

I don't know if they classify in terms of genre.. I think it's just a universal teacher's certificate (it doesn't even necessarily have to be in piano). However, I haven't researched it much.  You can check out www.mtna.org and they should have some information on it.
