I was going to go for this certification.. anybody done it?
How long did it take you?
How involved were the different projects?

I got this certification years ago. I'm now a permanently certified member. With time the guidelines have changed. I had two friends receive their certification last year. They thought the demands were tough but well worth it. Good Luck!

I don't know if they classify in terms of genre.. I think it's just a universal teacher's certificate (it doesn't even necessarily have to be in piano). However, I haven't researched it much. You can check out
www.mtna.org
and they should have some information on it.

New Piano Piece by Chopin Discovered – Free Piano Score
A previously unknown manuscript by Frédéric Chopin has been discovered at New York’s Morgan Library and Museum. The handwritten score is titled “Valse” and consists of 24 bars of music in the key of A minor and is considered a major discovery in the wold of classical piano music.
