Well, I've shocked myself. I've been learning the Precipitato from Prokofiev's 7th sonata and up until today, I hadn't found a single spot where I couldn't find a reasonably comfortable fingering, one with very little hand movement and minimal room for error. I thought I'd be having uncomfortable fingerings all over the place, but I guess whoever wrote the piece must also have played piano

. But now, I found one, and I really don't see anything very comfortable I can do here, but I'm hoping someone will find something. It's in the left hand, 5 measures from the end. The work isn't in the public domain so I'm attaching a picture of the last 2 lines of the piece so you can figure out what I'm talking about.

My only real thought, other than just picking up my hand completely, is using thumb for the b-flat (seems pretty obvious) and then for the descending notes, using 2-2-3-3-4-5 and then jumping my hand down and using my 2 for the last note so it's in position for the octaves in the next measure. This would work all right since I'd just be sliding my 2 and 3 down from a black key to a white. Also, I know it's detached, but the piece goes quite fast and moving my hand more than necessary is not a good idea. Does anyone have a better idea though?
