Using Synesthesia
on: July 27, 2012, 01:46:20 AM
Hello,

I am going to try to use synesthesia for my piano, however I don't know what cables to get to connect it my computer. I have two ports/holes in my piano and they say MDI in and MDI out. I want to able to connect it my computer to play synesthesia. Can anyone tell me exactly what cables I need to connect to my computer so I can just type it in Amazon and buy some.

Thanks

You need a USB to MIDI cable.

Here is an example:

https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Converter-Music-Keyboard-Window/dp/B0017H4EBG

It has MIDI in/out connectors on one end and USB on the other.  This is assuming you will plug into a USB connection on your computer and that your keyboard has MIDI input and output connectors...
