Question about the form of a piece
on: August 13, 2012, 08:38:50 AM
What is the form of the 1st mvt of Hob XVI no 42 in D major by Haydn? Sorry if it is a bit confusing. I thought it might be in variation form.....

Good question  :D

I would say, it's a mixture of a variation form and a free fantasy.

If it doesn't work - try something different!
