What the freaking heck is the name of this piece?!
on: August 16, 2012, 10:48:20 PM

The first one!  I swear I know this, I just can't think of the name!  It has to be by Rachmaninoff!

If you give me the name of this piece, I will make recordings of Bach and send them to you to your hearts content!  Tch...  Yeah right...

Now I'm really curious too...I looked on the competitions website and Facebook page and everything, and I didn't see anything about what piece it was, just the pianist's name. I used SoundHound and Shazam and neither one could identify the piece. If you find out, let us know.

This is a prelude in G minor op.33 no. 7 by (as you said) Rachmaninoff. I love it and teach it frequently.

I need to get the Etudes-tableaux...this is such a great piece, as are many of the pieces in the collection. So much music, so little time...
