searching for sonatinen light klassikal style
on: August 17, 2012, 12:14:54 PM
It has been 15 years since I have played the piano. The only sheet music I have is 5 Leichte Sonatinen Im Klassischen Stil from Ettore Pozzoli. I like it and I can play it but now I am looking for more sheet music in that style and difficulty. Is there someone who can give me advise?

I've quickly listened to some pieces by pozzoli, and Scarlatti immediatly came to my mind. I'm sure you'll find something good, as there are enough scarlatti sonatas to choose from.
Maybe this thread will help ---> Help!

have a look and listen to the Ignaz Pleyel sonatinas, they are so pretty and very accessible across a broad spectrum of skill and aptitude.

the henle edition by pianist makoto ueno is a super nice collection of recordings, sample here
