Hello - having worked on first movement of Moonlight, I am trying the second movement of Pathetique because of bringing out the melody while playing other notes in the same hand. Whilst I found working out fingering more or less easy for Moonlight, I am stumped even with the first 8 bars as to the fingering for just the melody!!
I know it should be played legato and that a lot of people play without pedal or if they use pedal, it is not used fully but I am struggling to play legato because of the melody not easily falling under my fingers. Make sense?
Does anyone have any suggestions? I was using the ABRSM Craxton/Tovey for Moonlight and perhaps working out fingering was easy because there was a lot of assistance in the edition.

I couldn't get the same version for this sonata as I think they are being replaced by the one edited by Barry Cooper and there is nowhere near as much help

Thank you for reading.
