Live from Santa Barbara, California, this summer. If the correct notes aren't there all of the time, hopefully the energy and the character is more in place

Very nice playing! Why didn't you stop in the middle of the piece and yell at everyone who was coughing? Honestly, audiences seem to show absolutely no respect. If you can't go a half hour without coughing, maybe you shouldn't leave the house.

Haha, at least I'm not putting it in programs as "Da Hammy Sonata" quite yet
As for the coughing - I should perhaps say that this was actually taken from a masterclass (around 1 PM) with the teaching of course following right after the performance, so the atmosphere is naturally slightly less formal than at a normal concert. In addition, I believe the microphone was placed in the very back of the hall rather than close to the stage, making it catching all the coughs better than it ought to
