the very famous and beloved Alt Wien (Old Vienna) from Godowsky's collection of pieces in 3 / 4 time, the Triankontameron. in this lovely piece he conjures up a waltz in disappeared fin de siecle vienna... nostalgia is the prime feeling and he captures it perfectly... this was the encore to my program the cosmopolitan pianist.
