Beautiful Recordings on an Upright
on: September 08, 2012, 01:50:32 AM
Are there any GOOD, renowned pianists who made professional recordings on nice uprights? I really want to know, because the sound is just so different, it sounds like home (maybe because I have one? )

Anyways, anyone professional, (or not) that records on an upright pieces from say mozart, chopin, RACHMANINOFF Etc.
Working on:
Bach Invention 7 (also Tureck's book)
Clementi Sonatina 3
Rachmaninoff Moment Musicaux no. 3
Skrjabin Prelude op.11 no.4
Joplin The Favorite Rag

I don't know of any professional pianists that record on an upright, but I know of someone on YouTube (now don't look down on him just because I said YouTube) that has very good quality recordings on an upright. I don't know to what standard that you consider "good", but I hope he meets your expectations.
