Practice - Mistake - Improv
on: September 22, 2012, 07:50:56 AM
This is how rehearsing music can greatly get out of hand. Start on a line from the music before you, and make a mistake, and come out of the mistake with an improvisational flourish.

(This is the subordinate thread).

This sounds very cool to me! I've been in similar situations.
I think it's actually a very fruitful method of practicing. And sometimes those sideways/mistakes can lead you to a point where you feel like you've just won the lottery.
So, in music there's more chance to win the lottery :)  ;D

Dave, I really like this very much.  It sounded like a beehive for awhile.  I would like to improvise a beehive, please :) (NO, not flight of the bumble bee).

Dear m1469, here is the beehive you ordered, complete with honey and honeycomb. Do be careful getting the honey though. Do be, do be do...
