Apologies for yet another favourite thing type of post -sort of -but if you could have written just one famous piece -supposing it hadn''t existed from the composer -what would it be?

There are soooo many -but I am going to say the Nocturne in Db by Chopin -
When a search is in progress, something will be found.

great question, right now this one. i may change my mind as i recall other pieces im sure i'm not remembering right now.

Im not sure if you mean based on skill or how nice the song is but for skill i would go with Franz Liszts 2nd Hungarian Rhapsody and for beauty :D i would go with His Third Liebestraume  but I have the same problem as the other guy cos i know theres other songs that just aren't in my head at the moment
