I really want to start practicing because I am going to take exams at Tokyo College of music. Thank you ;D

Something you can play well technically and musically.

1) Check the school website for their exam requirements, or contact them direct.

2) Discuss that with your teacher, who can work with you to develop a plan to get you to where you need to be with the repertoire you need.

Alright I got you right here dude:

Bach prelude and fugue from WTC (4 voices)
Complete classical sonata
Romantic piece
Etude
Contemporary work

This is what they want for most schools you'll be applying to.  That list may vary (take away the etude and/or contemporary work), but this should prepare you for pretty much any school.  For the romantic piece and contemporary work, as long as you don't pick any baby stuff, you should be good to go.

Contemporary work

Example:

Bach Prelude and Fugue BWV846
Beethoven "Waldstein" Piano Sonata Op.53
Chopin Nocturne Op.48 No.1
Scriabin Etude Op.42 No.5
Prokofiev Toccata Op.11

This is just an example...I just listed pieces from the top of my head at the moment...
Bach Prelude and Fugue BWV848
Beethoven Piano Sonata Op.13
Chopin Etude Op.10 No.4
Chopin Scherzo Op.31
Mussorgsky "The Great Gate of Kiev" from Pictures at an Exhibition

Contemporary work

Isn't usually 20th century work?
Bach Prelude and Fugue BWV848
Beethoven Piano Sonata Op.13
Chopin Etude Op.10 No.4
Chopin Scherzo Op.31
Mussorgsky "The Great Gate of Kiev" from Pictures at an Exhibition

Contemporary will cover that.

Besides, if you manage to get your hands on a romantic piece that happens to be in the 20th century like a Rach etude in Op. 39 or something, that's not gonna work.  Which is why I find 20th century works misleading.

Yeah dude, you're straight.

Some schools may only require an allegro movement of the classical sonata, but some require the whole thing.  So to be safe you wanna cover the whole sonata.
