Disney's The Aristocats: Scales and Arpeggios
on: October 19, 2012, 12:31:45 AM
Hey guys!

I've been gone for a while due to a hand injury but I'm starting up again, slowly and practicing only 10 - 20 mins a day.  Have always been a fan of Disney movies so here's one from the movie The Aristocats.

Hope you'll enjoy it and thanks for watching!  Feel free to comment here and/ or on my youtube page.

:D :D :D :D :D Welcome back, Cnadlelight, we missed you so much!!!!
I found delightful your scales and arps: your 'child heart' allows you to play with such a fresh grace!
Above all,I noticed great progresses in your touch and much much more relaxed hands/fingers movements...KEEP ON!!!!!

Thank you, Marg and Johnmar, for watching my video and for your kind and encouraging comments on my "baby" piece.  This is one of the most enjoyable pieces I've ever played.

you played this piece really well! there a light playful quality that comes through because your lines are so clear and well voiced. nice contrast too. super great to 'hear you back'. keep posting.

;D 1-55 of sheer delight -The video went straight into the geese at the end -and they sounded in fine voice, almost like a chorus of approval

-As Enrique says your voicing was clear -I was impressed how much character you communicated -you clearly love playing this piece and it glowed because of it -
When a search is in progress, something will be found.

Thank you so much, Starstruck!  What a lovely thing to say.  You definitely make me feel like soaring to the skies with the geese.  HONK! HONK!

Hello Choo .....
NOW, though briefly, I have finally seen you .... the happy person I have always imagined you to be! ;D ;D  I am glad you are "cured" and this cute little piece will surely get those stiff fingers going in no time soon.  Nice place .... Nice piano .... Nice playing!! ;D

Thank you, Littletune.  I'm glad you liked it.  It is a little tune!  Aw, the poor cat!!  I hope he is in kitty heaven with all the other cats, like on the Rainbow Bridge.  I still miss Song and the other feral cats I used to feed that vanished.

Thank you, Emill!  My hand isn't cured yet, actually.  It's still healing.  I have to go slow and be careful and not play pieces that are too strenuous and limit my practice to short 10 minute sessions but I'm enjoying the piano again.  It's good to be back and thanks once again.

Hello candlelight! I'm glad to hear that you're back after your hand injury. I hope your hand will get better soon.  :D

When I was 4 years old, I watched Aristocats for the first time. Since then, this movie became one of my favourites (I know that now I'm a teenager, but it's ok!...).
You played it really gently and delightfully and I liked it.  ;D

Also, I'd like to thank you for posting this piece! It evoked me so beautiful memories!

Thank you so much, Evita!  I'm so glad you enjoyed my little piece.  I haven't watched the movie, actually.  I found the little snippet on YT where the three kittens and mother cat were singing the song and playing the piano and just fell in love with it.  One of the things I absolutely want to do is watch the movie.  I'm looking out for it.

Starstruck:  I couldn't figure out what you meant when you said the video went straight into the geese at the end so I watched it and yeah, I see what you mean!!  OMG!!  That's so funny!  It's like they're part of the music.

Dear friend,
I am new to keys.
I have a lowrey teeny geenie organ and i want to learn my basics.. other than this i think your youtube video was beautiful.
so precious and graceful.
I am struggling very much to find the sheet music to Aristocats: Scales and Arpeggios...
This is something that I would feel very proud to learn and conquer.
I noticed in some of your comments that you were willing to provide sheet music...
If you could do this for me, too.. i would be forever grateful.. It would mean so much.
I couldn't sign on to my youtube account to comment as you requested, but my email is
emmamfleet@hotmail.com... i do not have a gmail :(
If you could help me I would love that
