Can't Help Falling (arranged and performed by ntfalls)
on: October 26, 2012, 03:44:52 PM
Each section is a musical representation of the lyrics.

Verse1: With a little Pomp and Circumstance for the wise:
Wise men say
only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you

Verse2: With a little gospel in case of sin and simplicity after.
Shall I stay
Would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you

Bridge: Ebbing and flowing
Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be

Verse3: Wedding style
Take my hand,
Take my whole life, too
For I can't help falling in love with you

I like the music.  Perhaps you'd care to play it faster.

I felt it best expressed at the speed played here. I will be re-recording this piece on my freshly tuned piano and will try to get more of the dynamics to come across and will maybe play it a tad faster too ;)

Maybe you feel it when you play, but when we listen, it's waaaay to slow. There is no way anyone can sing in in that tempo... It is a song, after all.

Piano Street Magazine:
Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
