What are your spiritual/religious reasons for playing the piano/keyboards?

I'm not sure if I have spiritual reasons FOR playing piano. But I definitely get spiritual feelings FROM playing the piano. On the other hand, I am very grateful to be who I am, to experience true inner peace, and to have the ability to make my own sounds. So...in a way I feel like I'm thanking the universe or God or whatever you want to call Him/Her/It when I play.

^I too have no spiritual reasons for playing the piano, but I do know that I do have solid, logical reasons for playing the piano.

- Boredom
- The realization that I have to find something in life that has lasting pleasure
- The desire to accomplish something for my personal satisfaction
- Being fascinated by the ambiguous nature of music
- Being fascinated by the dynamic range and playing range of the instrument; that it can produce music that is infinitely varied in texture

I am grazily deeply madly in love with the sound of piano and lots of piano music ;D

Just couldn't stand the idea of never being able to play any of it...
