The naming the piece in a certain key game!
on: November 15, 2012, 09:56:06 PM
Thought that this might be a fun thing to try out. First I will say a key signature and will name a piece related to that particular key signature and then I will say another key signature and the next person will name a piece related to that key signature and will write down another signature for the next person.

You broke the game.

I presume you meant minor..  but either way, enharmonics don't count. - it defeats the purpose of suggesting rare keys.

Let's just un-break the game, and say from now on no enharmonics allowed.

Agreed, but also only keys that are actually used as key signatures, not "theoretical" keys to which pieces may modulate.  Another suggestion is that it be piano solo works only (which has been the case so far). And no duplicate pieces.

EDIT: Opps, forgot.  :-[

OK this is a hard key.  I don't really know any pieces personally so I have to say I cheated and looked it up ;D  I waited while they thread slowly fell down the list of current threads and I didn't want it to die so...

Albéniz - La Vega

If anyone has a better one then it's all you ;)

Next lets do B Major.
