Opinion needed for DMA prescreening audition
on: November 19, 2012, 02:43:03 AM
Hi all, i am currently working on my DMA application and I have done two recording sessions in the past week.

This would be my second time doing recording stuff. I only sent my live performance's video for my master degree application; the first time I recorded myself is when I was applying for a competition in United States.

For now, my repertoire are not fully marinated yet and I am not up to the preparation stage that I could make a perfect recording (as in no noticeable mistake) and I want to know if that really matters for the DMA pre-screening audition? I am worried now as I don't know where I stand among all the other applicants.

my repertoire list is as below:
Bach's Prelude and Fugue in G major
Schubert's Sonata in A minor D. 784
Chopin's Ballade no. 4 in F minor
Prokofiev Sonata no. 7 in Bb

here is the link to my recordings:
Bach's Prelude and Fugue:

Schubert's sonata 3rd mvmt

these are the recordings that I got from the first day so far. I want to know if they are safe (as in good enough) to send for pre-screening audition?

thanks!

Thank god you're not doing undergraduate...
