I occasionally warm up with a couple of the Liszt technical exercises along with some Rachmaninoff and scales. However I don't follow a clearly defined system, I just tend to mess around till I am ready to practice.

I like to use the more traditional "woolly jumper" - because I care about planet earth and like to reduce my carbon footprint where ever I can.

I think I can run my aircon for about a year per jumper, which is probably not as often as you buy a new one.
