Complete beginner needs some help
on: November 24, 2012, 01:45:42 AM
Hi everyone!
Some background: I've never played an instrument in my whole life (but were always jealous of those who could) but last week, I bought myself a used USB synth, which was a pure impulse purchase, but the price was just too good to pass up on, so I decided to get it!
It arrived yesterday, and I'm super excited to finally be able to learn how to play and later also make my own music in FL Studio for example, but that's another story...
Now, I *love* video game music and so far I've been able to memorize the first half of the Super Mario Bros. theme, which I like to play over and over again of course
I decided to take a break from that song for a minute and try to learn another one, this one:
What I want help with is double-checking the chords that I've tried to pick up so far. It's not the whole melody, maybe just half of it. Anyways, here's what I've got:
CDE CCDEC EEDEDE CDE CCDEC EFD CDE CEDCEC
Can you see/hear any errors so far?
Edit:
This is the synth that I got, btw:
