Bless the broken road piano, HELP please!
on: December 04, 2012, 11:26:57 AM
Hi!
I'm trying to learn this:
I'm currently going to a private teacher which is really good, and I pay alot of money for practicing piano. We started with this song for about a week ago, and he helped me really well, but not enough until the time ran out, so now I'm on my own until next lesson.
I'm really wanting to play this piece of music since I think it's an amazing song. Bless the broaken road by Rascal Flatts.
If you look into the video that I linked above (
)
I'm having trouble with combining the hands. I can play the intro melody and the bassline really well, but when combining them, it's a total mess. Can someone please help me with this?
when playing the first notes: E, F, G, G (on the G I start playing the first bassline - E, octave E, B, C, but then when moving on to the melody, when playing D, C, B, C, D, C, I dont know how time the bassline and further on. If I only get the timing and knowing when to play the notes with the bassline, I can really learn this song. But I've tried for almost a WEEK now, and I cant get any further. I'm really stuck! HELP please!
Thanks!

What I'm having trouble with is the timing when he's playing the fast part in the melody, where the melody really flows, so in other words when he plays D, C, B, C, D, C, I dont know how to time the bassline with that ;o

basically what I'm having trouble with is the syncopated rhythm on the bass
this is an easier version of the song, the bass isnt ON the notes but inbetween, I dont know how to get that timed so I can play it , I really need help on this and I would very much appreciate it!
Thanks alot.
