Complete Recording of the Clavierübung I-IV
on: December 05, 2012, 09:50:20 PM
Inspired by the fact, that Glenn Gould has his 80th Birthday this Year and also had his finger on the 1951 Steinway D (he played and "signed" this CD 121 like Rudolf Serkin did before) which provides the samples for the Grandpianorecordings of this project I recorded in the last month the complete Clavierübung I-IV (Partitas I-VI, French Overture, Italian Concert, German Organ Mass, Duetts, Goldbergvariations).

In the same moment I also recorded all pieces of the Clavierübung (Partitas I-VI, French Overture, Italian Concert, German Organ Mass, Duetts, Goldbergvariations) with samples of a Pigalle Harpsichord 1771 and the Silbermann Organ of St. Georgen in Rötha /Germany.

You find all the 220 recordings on my site linked under this posting. To give you just some little examples how it for instance sound like if I play also the choralpreludes from Part III on a modern Grandpiano, I upload here one of those beside another choralprelude with the Silbermann Organ and the Overture from the French Overture on the Pigalle Harpsichord.

If you are interested, feel free to listen the whole thing on my site.
