Jazz, Gospel, and related Improvisation(al) theory
on: December 08, 2012, 02:29:48 PM
note i was not asked/propositioned or paid to post this, i just wanted to share this resource (so it's not SPAM, i wholeheartedly believe this is helpful stuff!
)
wasn't quite sure this where to put this FYI, this is one of my former piano teacher's son's youtube channel. he runs taching and recording studio and he is a fine/very talented pianist with a particularly fine skill set in jazz theory and improvisation.
I just wanted to make folks aware of this channel (he supplements what he does in his teaching studio with these 'free lessons'/tips videos).
if you have a fair basic theory base and can understand fundamental chord methodology and voicing, then i think you all might enjoy and learn quite a bit as I certainly do.
super nice guy, i can't say enough great things about him. please feel free to share this resource with others.
example:
direct link to his channel with his other uploads

his soundcloud
he has some really nice listening streams, great background 'chill' music including some fantastic christmas music

(great producer-so FYI if anyone is in need of having something made for them, i.e professional recordings, etc. his product is super nice and his rates very reasonable, just contact him via the channel on yt or soundcloud or directly via his site:
