Improvisation?
on: December 11, 2012, 11:34:58 AM
I'm against improvisation.
Its whats ruining me as a pianist.
I know you guys will be skeptical about that, but I'm sure of it.
and even worse is that im not bad at it, so people always want me to improvise. and theres this new horrible thing where everyone needs to know jazz too, so i started getting a habit of doing that.

yah if you've seem me on this site i just complain and release thoughts that I know everyone would disagree

~a nice day to you all

You won't get any argument from me. Since I started improvisation I almost completely stopped playing scored music. I have great problems learning new piecies now because I always slip to some lengthy improvisation after practicing for about 20min.

The bad thing is that my kind of improvisation doesn't suit most listeners, so people ask me to play some pieces. But I can't play any because I don't practice!
