Mine are the Franck A major, Respighi B minor...lets see, I can't decide. Maybe Beethoven F major.

Franck definitely.
I play Beethoven D major and Grieg G major with my partner this year and both are quite attractive too, imo

The Beethoven D major is nice. Have you learned Franck? Second movement is tricky, and certain passages in 4th movement as well. Very beautiful though. I first played it with a 26-year-old when I was 15...;).  I don't know how good it was.

Yes, I have played it.
I remember having insane fear performing that one, some passages seem unneccessarily difficult and unpianistic.

You shouldn't have performed it if it causes insane fear...;)
and which passages do you think are unpianistic? I disagree...

Franck is definitely at the top.

But to switch it around a bit, listen to Richard Strauss' Violin Sonata. Insanely beautiful, comes very close to taking Franck's spot in my mind.

Interesting. I don't really agree, but it is also a nice piece. :)

I happen to love Brahms' violin sonatas, all three.

I like the first and third, not so much the second. However, all of them are great chamber works that it is worth it for any duo to learn and perform, as are the sonatas of Beethoven, etc.

Apart from his first piano sonata, I find this to be one of his weakest works - and I'm a great admirer of KS!

Anyway:

Beethoven: Kreutzer
Beethoven: Op. 96, G major
Franck: A major
Brahms: All 3
Fauré: Both
d'Indy: C major
Schmitt: Sonate libre en deux parties enchainées
Marx (J): A major
Magnard: G major
Busoni: No. 2 in E minor
Medtner: All 3
Bax: All 4
Delius: All 3
Debussy: G minor
Bridge: Both
Strauss: E flat
Ireland: No. 2
Bloch:
Roslavetz: All four extant ones (there were reportedly six altogether)

That's more than enough to be going on with!

Best,

Alistair
