For sale: mineshaft
on: December 22, 2012, 12:25:16 AM
Lightly used.  Good for end of the world scenarios.  Sold as is.  May or may not contain a large missle-shaped object covered in pigeon droppings.

Make me an offer.  It was quite expensive.  You can wire me the money and I'll email you a pdf of the official mineshaft deed.

It may look like this.*1

*Or it may not.
1May contain rats.2

2But they're really friendly rats.  Meaning that they're not afraid of humans at all.

Gee, Bob.  I think I might pass, but thanks anyway.

Those are about two million.  I sell mine for half that.

Gosh, that's really tempting, Bob.

Hey, I have about 1 million Greek drachmas lying around the house.  Will you take that?

Sure, sounds good.  At 5th century rates or $100USD to 1 drachma, whichever is higher.  Haha.

Haha, I bumped into this a while ago when I was looking for property in the adirondacks.  Apparently the actual silo hasn't been touched though, so it's basically a deathtrap of rusting platforms.

Did you read this, Bob?

I'm dropping my price to 5,000 drachmas.  Final bid.

No, wait.  Just remembered the place might have rats and I'm allergic to rat fur.  1,000 drachmas.  Absolutely final bid.

I'd keep it if I were you Bob. There'll be another end of the world just around the corner, and you'll kick yourself for letting it go.
