Guaraldi (Keveren)- Christmas Time Is Here
on: December 22, 2012, 02:00:11 PM
So after the troubles I had w the electric piano audio only upload in the "holiday performances thread" here's a piano take. I think I actually played a little better in the othe one but w the circumstances instill sorta liked this one. Basically reading with a light improv in spots to keep it going. Was able to rehearse it a few times so this prolly only has a few reads all the way through.

I hope others continue to  to upload holiday pieces thanks for watching and Merry Christmas! 8)

Such a wistful and magical piece -you made me listen to every note - it was like snow falling -how do you do that?  Brilliant -

But ANYWAYS, that was pretty rad dude! :)

That's lovely, Enrique!  Looking at you with your muscles it's hard to imagine that you can produce such a delicate touch on the piano.  But you do!  I can feel the gentle snowfall, little flakes tinkling and I can even see the stars in the sky glittering.  Heavenly!

And I wish you the merriest Christmas!

ive always been fond of this soulful little tune and think phillip keveren is a talented transcriber, he handled this piece quite well and managed to  make it sound 'jazzy' without it really looking all that jazzy w regard to his score.

im happy i could put something pretty accross to folks. thanks for listening and the compliments!
