First recording of the four Concert-Waltzes op.3+4 from the young Felix Draeseke
on: December 23, 2012, 08:29:59 PM
Since Draeseke was young and after his studies al Mendelssohns Academy in Leipzig one of the young composers around Franz Liszt, these Concertwaltzes are not only brilliant, but full of surprising harmonic and melodic ideas. To give you an impression I attached the first one. you can find the other and all scores
here
.
All recordings are produced by myself in Cubase 7 with samples of a Steinway D.
I hope you like this (as far I know) up to now never befor recorded music.

45 new (mostly first) recordings of Draesekes Piano- (& Orchestral) music online
Reply #1 on: February 23, 2013, 09:37:41 AM
To the 100th anniversary of the death of Felix Draeseke (1835-1913) klassik-resampled presents 45 new recordings of
Pianomusic
(and
orchestral music
).
Beside (six mostly large instrumentated orchestral compositions and) the already mentioned Waltzes op 3 + 4 you can hear now also the Waltzes op.5, the Fantasy on Boiledieus La dame blanche op.8, six Fugues for Piano op.15 , 18 Canons á 6-8 Voci op.42, and 6 "kanonische Ratsel" op.42.
The scores are linked mostly with the recordings.
I hope you like this wonderful music.
