New Piano improvisation with Spanish influences
on: December 25, 2012, 04:40:50 PM
Hello all,
I'd like to post a link here to an improvisation I recently played in concert. The piece is inspired by typical elements in Spanish music, such as the phrygian scale, flamenco harmonies and rhythms. All comments are welcome! This is the link:
Wishing all of you a merry christmas and a happy new year!

So beautiful! I have always loved Spanish music. Do you have sheet music? If not, I understand, but please do write some if you can.

Very, very good. Interesting harmonic changes, but the distinguishing feature is your command of phrasing, always essential in any improvisation it seems to me.

Hi Karst,
I liked this very much and appreciate so much that you posted it here! I would like to sometime improvise in concert, as well. You are a good example for that. I liked your entire improv, but I especially enjoyed your change into the slower, major section. Hope to hear more!
