You know, I was thinking...  And...  I really like all of you guys.  I know we're all different people with different tastes and views, and we've had our little arguments and everything but...  I really love you all. *sniff sniff*  

And here's something my former teacher emailed me.

Subject: How Cold Is It ?


+20° – Greeks put on sweaters (if they can find them).
+15° – Hawaiians turn on the heaters (if they have them).

-50° – Your eyelids start sticking when you blink. In Alaska , people close the window in the bathroom.
-60° – White bears start moving south.
-70° – Hell freezes.
-73° – Finnish special services evacuate Santa Claus from Lapland . Russians wear earmuff hats.
-80° – Lawyers put their hands in their own pockets.
-114° – Ethyl alcohol is freezing. Russians are very unhappy.
-273° – Absolute zero, atomic movement stops. Russians wear boots.
-295° – 90% of the planet is dead. Russian soccer team becomes the world champion. Russian car starts itself...

There has always been a broader minded approach to music here than elsewhere, or so I have noticed over the eleven years I have been here. I conjecture that it is because a wider ranging world distribution of members exists here. Differences tend to be accepted and even celebrated here, which can only be a good thing. Imagine if everybody felt obliged to hear and play piano music in the same way; wouldn't it be terrible ? No new ideas could occur and all originality would be discouraged. In art, rules are for fools.

There are commercials here for a show called happy end and there are wonderfully full-busted women on commercials here...no thin gals here, cause in the cold you really need to eat a lot to stay warm and drink the good stuff... And hey, they say Orenburg has some of the most beautiful women in Russia. 

 Meanwhile I just had more surgery on my ears.

lol I understand. It is best to dedicate yourself to piano, indeed! My ears are ok, I have had surgery on my ear drum before. I had tympanoplasty done on my left ear after some unfortunate dammage to the ear drum, that happend from diving into water. This time I had cosmetic surgery done to correct the stretching or 'gauging' on both my ears. It was extremely painful
sorry for the sick detail. If anyone here stretched their ears, please be aware of what it takes to correct this!
