Hi m-i-s,

I just listened to your "Des pas".  Very thoughtful and beautiful playing!  There is a temptation given the sparse writing in this score to underestimate the piece, whereby it suffers.  To the contrary, in your rendition you give the possibilities of interpretation your full attention and more.  This is a very convincing recording.

Hi David,
Now I know I've "hit the nail on the head"  ;D! Thanks for your invaluable insights. I fell in love with this intoxicating, atmospheric music from the first time I heard it, long ago. To me it's one of those moments in the life's work of a great composer when their "core", their absolute genius, is revealed to us, like never before. Both the loneliness and the solace of a winter landscape find a home in this piece.

I like what you type here. This is a favorite prelude, and you play it nicely. I think you did hit the nail on the head.
