I just thought of greeting everyone a happy new year through Debussy's Fireworks.

As described "this is the last of Debussy's preludes which is a musical portrait of a fireworks display over Paris. Brilliant arpeggios, trills, and rapid chord passages characterize this, the most technically challenging of the préludes. The work comes to an effective close with a distant quote of "La Marseillaise" sounded over a hushed tremolo. ..."

We will be grateful for any comments or observations!!  THANKS and Happy New Year.

all of these works are so evocative but i feel this one does an especially fine job of creating 'imagery' in addition the mood!

i love this, i wish i could see it in person. i don't really hear/see anything that needs to be improved, really this is his piece and i think whatever he decides he wants to do with it, he can, and it will be 'right' no matter where he goes with it.

Hi emill,

Bravo to Enzo!  He presents a thorough understanding of Debussy's intentions and serves the composer exceedingly well in this picturesque music.  This is one of the finest renditions I've yet heard of "Fireworks".  Congratulations on this marvelous achievement.

Yes! Happy new year! And wonderful use of the sostenuto pedal! This is a very powerful performance. The only thing I can say to the contrary is there may be too much space - that is the structure could be more organized and together. Also a personal thing...I like the octaves in the opening staccato...not caught in the pedal. Excellent job!

When Practice Stagnates – Breaking the Performance Ceiling: Robotic Training for Pianists

“Practice makes perfect” is a common mantra for any pianist, but we all know it’s an oversimplification. While practice often leads to improvement, true perfection is elusive. But according to recent research, a robotic exoskeleton hand could help pianists improve their speed of performing difficult pianistic patterns, by overcoming the well-known “ceiling effect”.
